CCMA Country Crawl Brings Canadian Country Music Across Saskatoon
Free Country Music Takes Over Saskatoon September 16–19
Saskatoon will become a citywide stage for Canadian country music this September when the CCMA Country Crawl, supported by RBCxMusic, takes over local venues during Country Music Week 2026.
Running from September 16–19, 2026, the Country Crawl will feature 27 artists performing at 13 venues throughout Saskatoon. The programme brings together emerging and established Canadian talent spanning contemporary country, roots and Americana.
Best of all, Country Crawl performances are free and open to the public, although select venues and events are restricted to guests aged 19 and older.
Canadian Country Music Moves Into the Community
Rather than keeping Country Music Week performances on one main stage, the Country Crawl spreads the music throughout Saskatoon.
Restaurants, breweries, pubs, shops, museums and other gathering places become performance spaces. It gives visitors an opportunity to explore the city while discovering artists they may not have encountered before.
For emerging musicians, that intimate format can be particularly valuable. Audiences get closer to the performers, while artists have an opportunity to connect with country music fans visiting Saskatoon for one of Canada’s biggest industry gatherings.
The result is part music festival, part neighbourhood crawl and a celebration of the range of sounds currently coming from Canada’s country music community.
September 16 — Country Crawl Begins
The main Country Crawl programme gets underway on Wednesday afternoon.

September 17 — An Afternoon and Evening of Music
Thursday expands the Crawl with four performances beginning in the afternoon and continuing into the evening.

Saturday’s schedule makes it possible to spend much of the day exploring the Country Crawl. It moves from a morning coffeehouse performance to afternoon and evening shows before JJ Taylor closes out the night at Blackrose Whiskey Club.

While Country Music Week brings many familiar names and industry leaders together, the Country Crawl has another important role: discovery.
Its mix of emerging and established performers gives audiences an opportunity to hear artists representing different regions and styles within Canadian country music.
That diversity stretches beyond mainstream contemporary country. Roots and Americana influences are also part of the programme, reflecting how broad Canada’s country music community has become.
For fans, there is another advantage. No festival pass is required to participate in the Country Crawl. Someone visiting Saskatoon can choose one performance or spend several days moving between venues and discovering new music.
Saskatoon Becomes Canada’s Country Music Capital
For four days in September, Country Music Week will put Saskatoon at the centre of Canada’s country music industry.
The Country Crawl takes that celebration beyond official industry events and brings it directly into the community. Local businesses become stages, artists meet new listeners and fans can experience live Canadian music throughout the city.
With 27 artists, 13 venues and four days of free performances, there will be plenty to discover.
